Utility / Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy

This page explains what Utility collects when you visit or buy from utilitydesign.shop, and what happens to it. Utility is run by Sam Cedar, and you can reach us at goodsforutility@gmail.com.

When you buy something

Checkout runs on Stripe. Stripe collects your payment details and email address, and we never see your card number. We keep a record of each order with your email, what you bought, the price and any discount code, so we can resend downloads and keep our books. Your download links are sent by email through Resend.

When you join the email list

If you sign up for the newsletter, get a free download, or tick the box at checkout to hear about new products, your email address is added to our list on Resend. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes you off the list straight away.

Cookies and tracking

Utility uses cookies from Meta, Google and TikTok to measure visits and see which ads bring people to the shop. These only load if you accept the cookie banner. If you accept, we also send your purchase to Meta from our server, with your email address scrambled (hashed), so Meta can count the sale even when a browser blocks its tracker. If you decline, none of this happens and the shop works the same. You can change your answer any time with Cookie Settings at the bottom of every page.

What the site keeps on its own

The shop counts how many times each product is viewed and added to a cart. Those counts don't include anything about who you are. Your browser also stores your cart, your light or dark mode setting, and the link or ad that first brought you here. That last one is attached to your order if you buy, so we know which posts and ads are working. All of it stays in your browser until you clear it.

Hosting

The site runs on Cloudflare, which handles every request to it and keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses, for security.

What we don't do

We don't sell your information or share it with anyone beyond the services named on this page, and each of those only gets what it needs to do its job.

Your information, your call

To see what we have about you, correct it, or have it deleted, email goodsforutility@gmail.com. We keep order records as long as we need them for taxes and accounting, and email addresses until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove them.
